9:30 post wod
protein and coconut water and water
made pancakes w/ 3 eggs, 1 banana, 1/4 cup coconut flour, splash of vanilla, shake of cinnamon...blend add 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
this made 6 pancakes using 1/4 cup of batter for each.
I ate 4 pancakes w/ strawberries and a drizzle of syrup on top.
Also drank pineapple juice I mixed with coconut water - 2 cups.
I know this is a lot of fruit, ended up with the 'shakes' again after today's wod. As soon as my silly paycheck gets here I shall order some progenex. I have to stop these post WOD shake attacks;/
I have seriously slept from one meal to another.....
burger w/ avocado and pickle and spicy mustard
1/2 red pepper
some sweet potato chips
2 servings of trial mix
meat with red hot sauce
spinach, strawberry, almond salad
protein + coconut water and water
Leaving to go see Dr. A I was hitting a sugar low...gobbled down the rest of my coconut water and a couple more figs.....apparently that wasn't gonna cut it.
in an emergency situation we had to stop at Martin's on the way to Dr. A so I could get food...I once again started to get sweats, shakes, etc. Low blood sugar. It's such an awful feeling. Time to order Progenex and get over the fact I have no $ to do so.
left over turkey burger with 2 slices pineapple, 2 slices bacon, and franks red hot sauce
some left over red potatoes cooked in garlic and rosemary with oil
then my hubby decided to stuff enjoy life chocolate chunks inside our raspberries....um so freaking yummy. We are a mess I tell ya.
1 chicken burger
topped with egg
2 slices pineapple
and some sweet potato fries
attempted to make ice cream using protein powder, coconut milk, and a banana, and walnuts.
It was ok...but I had the most awful night in the world;( I was up all night with a belly aching!!
So, I won't be eating that anymore.
1 hard boiled egg
1 small apple
tall coffee from bucks
1:00 post WODS
protein with water
Ok...so this is the second time I have had an "episode" like the one I had today...This happened on Thursday 1 hour post WOD as well...I start to get very dizzy, like I am going to faint, I start to get really hot - to the point I have water dripping from my hair and chest, and I start to visibly shake....it hurts so bad ...when it happened on Thursday I couldn't swallow my food...so today I went straight for the grapes and the blueberries like I did on Thursday. I know it has something to do with my blood sugar dipping too low due to the intensity and prob too many workouts...I did 4 today and Thursday as well;/ The other thing I think it might be is I am out of progenex recovery and taking a recovery that I won in my masters competition...apparently it's not footing the bill here.
With that said - I probably consumed about 15 grapes
and 1/2 cup blueberries
2 dip eggs
leftover steak 3-4 oz
leftover pasta - whatever its spaghetti squash
small slice of hot apple pie.
1 chicken thigh
1 nibble of Jim's hashbrowns
1 cup brocolli
at 5ish food deprived and making dinner.
sweet potato chips
spaghetti squash alfredoish lol
homemade apple pie
with a small serving of dairy ice cream;0)
This is my first dairy in more than 10 weeks....I was VERY nervous so I just ate enough to make my apple pie a little moist as it was a little on the dry side...first pie i've ever made and I didn't spread my crust on the sides thin enough...live and learn right?
It's been a pretty rough day...woke up with a massive ear ache in my left ear...it persisted for 2+ hours before I was able to get some relief....
protein, coconut water, water
I will soon learn (around 11:00) that this recovery meal was not enough for today's workout...in the middle of breakfast cooking and such I had a massive low blood sugar attack...dizziness....hot sweats, cold chills...etc - my husband is the best man in the world...I couldn't swallow my breakfast food I needed sugar stat!!! He took care of me as I cried my way through a handful of grapes and a bowl of frozen blueberries...I had gone from fully dressed sitting at the kitchen table to a complete sweat and cold chills...stripped off all but my shorts and bra and sat there crying while he took care of me. I really don't know what I would do without him. Really I'm serious.
It seemed to last a lot longer than that ...but I finally quit shaking enough to eat my breakfast....
1 sausage (maple and blueberry linky from DC)
1 biscuit w/ jelly
it's 1:30 now...and I've had another handful of grapes
and now munching on trail mix - it's obviously going to be one of those days!!!
shake - 2 raw eggs, 1 banana, 4 berries, 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa, 1/2 cup coconut milk
1 small piece jerky
1 deviled egg
handful of sweet potato chips
I think I have made the best "comfort food" grain free meal I could ever make.
I refuse to eat grains....
So, I have been sick and CRAVING
chicken and noodles.
I decided to make homemade chicken and noodles with real mashed potatoes and bread.
I put the chicken in the crock pot for 8 hours...for the 1st 4 hours on its own and for the next 4 with a 36 oz container of range free chicken broth low sodium.
After that I took the chicken out and made sure there wasn't anything funky in the broth...poured in a 1 pound bag of gluten free noodles (these were made with egg, potato starch, and tapioca starch)
at this time I turned off the crock pot. The broth was plenty hot enough to cook the noodles.
I picked all the meat off of the bones and returned it to the crock pot.
added, italian seasoning, celery seed, salt, and pepper.
Put the lid on it and it was done.
I cut up 7 red potatoes and boiled them...put them in the food processor with coconut milk (about 1/2 can) and garlic salt and black pepper.
hit the grind button - these were amazing. I left the skin on and I like them a little thick and lumpy
I also made paleo almond bread - this is what I make for sliced bread for the kids lunches as well.
So, we had chicken and noodles on top of homemade mashed potatoes and bread for dinner.
I wish you could have seen us all gloating...seriously. Gage repeatedly stated he couldn't believe we were eating noodles and ate 2 full plates of dinner.
paleo apple cobbler
I feel like Suzy homemaker;0) My tummy is finally content.
