If you are asking yourself what is the point in doing this? We are taking only 15 CrossFit Michiana athletes (whether 1 day a week or unlimited) and taking them through the "I Am CrossFit" Challenge. These 15 people will have access to the gym at least 3 days a week for the 8 weeks this challenge runs. On February 6th we will hold the baseline workout and 8 weeks later hold the finals to see how much you've improved. The finals will be open to the public to watch, however those in the challenge will be a part of their own subculture as this progresses.
We will be holding regular nutrition meetings for the participants. These meetings will be different than the seminars and will be geared at each individuals needs in regards to nutrition. We will learn from each other and get better from there. You will also have a goal setting class, again geared for just you. This will not be some Anthony Robins "Rah Rah" class where you will be jazzed and then let down when it is over. There will be techniques used here I have not taught anyone, but use myself. And if this is not enough, each participant will receive a shirt designed for the challenge only available to the participants. We will also have rubber "I Am CrossFit" arm bands made to go along with everything else. This way you can show off your amped up commitment level. grin And for those who are not unlimited at the gym, I will email you workouts for the week to go along with what you will be doing at the gym so in a sense you will be unlimited.
The best way to describe this challenge is like taking a limo ride to your ultimate health. We have a lot of fun and make it as much of a party atmosphere as possible. There are too many things in store for those who participate to mention here. If you are seriously interested in the "I Am CrossFit" Challenge then $100 gets you in for the 8 weeks. We are limiting this to 15 people to keep it as personal as possible for those who participate.

That's right - there is no room for failure in this challenge. You will be assigned a coach to keep you accountable and you are also assigned to a "team" of people, organized by the coaches. Your name will appear with your team's names under your coach on a white board at CrossFit Michiana. Each time you attend the required I Am CrossFit events you earn a star next to your name. When you miss an event, a meeting with your coach, the benchmark workouts, etc without communicating with your coach - you are out of the challenge. There are no refunds for this challenge - make the commitment, you will succeed!

The new sweatshirt designs are in and an order will be placed on Friday February 5, 2010 at 5:00 pm. You MUST have your order form to Carole by that time. There are several options to make your sweatshirt "your own."
You can choose either a orange sweatshirt with blue screen print or an blue sweatshirt with orange screen print. You can choose the "Austin Powers" look, or the "Muscle" look (see below.) You can choose either a crew neck sweatshirt for $30.00 in adult sizes S, M, L, and XL and $33.00 for XXL or a hoodie sweatshirt for $40.00 in adult sizes S, M, L, and XL and $43.00 for XXL. You can have your name screen printed on the back of the sweatshirt for an additional $5.00 charge.
The saying on the back of the sweatshirts will read: "CrossFit: Where the phrase "Nice Snatch" is socially acceptable."

Gym Assessments March 6th
