The first question is quite simple to answer actually….

I will be the first to say that CrossFit is not for everyone. It literally takes a certain kind of person to push themselves to the level we do here inside our walls; the same level that gets you into the best shape of your life.
It makes you mentally tough … it brings out every ounce of determination … creating a person ready to take action when the opportunity knocks.
Those who have these qualities, these same qualities that may lay dormant deep down inside the individual, but are there nonetheless…are the people I want to help most.
So no, this is NOT for everyone!

First and more importantly than any other point here, it doesn’t matter if you are 3, 15, 40, or 70. We don’t care about your race, creed, color, religious beliefs or your gender. You can look through the pictures, videos, workout of the day posts and the discussion forum here and see we have every type of person just mentioned.
It doesn’t matter what your exercise background is; from couch potato to Ironman we’ve worked with them all.

How Much Does It Cost?”
The first question we always here is, “How Much Does It Cost?”
We offer different levels of entry into our CrossFit Michiana family … anywhere from 2 days a week up to 5 days a week, including family discounts. Some levels are less expensive and may be more appropriate for you and your schedule than the “5-Day” membership.
And because accountability is a staple in our programming, we have you choose from a 4 month, 8 month or 12 month program. We’ve done month to month memberships in the past, which only left both parties discouraged as the athlete left before giving it enough time to see the results.
The last thing I want to do is exclude anyone who desires to be a part of CFM, that’s why we offer a more affordable 2 times a week membership.
All of our different membership levels vary in attendance and other benefits, including some of the skill categories coming down the road in the very near future. But the type of workouts will be the same. Each class may have someone who is coming twice a week along side someone in our “Gold” 5 days a week member.
You’ll get the same high quality workouts no matter how often you decide to attend.
No matter what membership level you choose we will start you with a month long 12 class membership called CFM 101 - Basic Training. These classes are for all beginners and we will coach you in every CFM move and lift that makes up our group programming. Nutrition is just as important to us and we will teach you the Paleo and/or the Zone diets. These are the nutritional lifestyles we use for maximum results from our intense workouts. And last but not least, we give you your own CFM Success Journal to track your meals, your workouts and entire experience of being a part of the CFM family.

We will be happy to discuss your specific needs when you schedule your first consultation. But you should know this … WE ARE NOT LIKE Cardinal Gym, ICE, World’s Gym, the YMCA, or any other CrossFit gym.
You are who you hang around and everyone knows that you get what you pay for.
By some standards, entry into the CFM family is quit different than any other gym … and this is so for several reasons:
1. CrossFit Michiana is designed for a very small group of committed individuals who want to see serious gains and improvements in their fitness levels.
There are no 3 sets of 10 or back and bicep day workouts going on here. This is a school of elite fitness … and the coaching here is of the highest caliber. To ask anything less would trivialize something of priceless value. You should be ready and willing to provide support and a positive influence to other CFM family members … and be ready on a moments notice to assist another CFM member at anytime.
2. Although anyone can apply … Many people are simply not ready for this level of opportunity or commitment. Despite being absurdly simple, CrossFit has its critics.
I’d prefer to see only those on the “inside” who are able to take full advantage of the camaraderie this community provides. The “bad apples” will be happier if they stay wherever they are now … and so will the rest of the CFM family! So bluntly, the price to some extent serves as a screening device.
3. Because of the LIMITED number of CFM athletes this facility can support, and the fact that there will certainly be more people who apply than can actually be accommodated … this price ensures only the most serious-minded individuals are reaping the rewards.
Depending upon your commitment level to membership, your monthly dues can range from as low as $127 per month to as high as $259.

But let me just say …
Even at the highest level of membership, we are much less expensive than paying for a gym membership and then adding on the cost of other personal services, like massage, supplements, personal training … even group classes.
When you join the CrossFit Michiana family, you have the privilege of training with other serious minded CFM athletes … AND you get a professional CrossFit certified COACH to provide you the highest quality instruction anywhere.
Compared hiring a personal trainer to count off reps and stare off into space at the next “tight body” lady who walks by …

Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.

Once you have attended this session - you will use your remaining 10 CrossFit classes during our regularly scheduled class times.
