I started working out at Michiana Adventure BootCamp with Jim in July of 2007 with the intention of doing a four week bootcamp three times a week and calling it a good day! BOY WAS I WRONG….

Favorite CrossFit Moment: completing the Warrior Dash
I aspire to do………. my best at all times
Jonnai preparing for the Warrior Dash June 2011
Jonnai getting close to the end of the warrior dash - the only two things she had left to do was jump over fire and crawl through knee high mud under barbed wire!!!
4 rounds for time
25 kettlebell swings
15 X-Fit burpee
Each 2 person team completes 4 rounds of all reps of both exercises. Ex. A-1 does the swings while A-2 does the burpees. Once both complete their reps they then switch exercises. A-2 then does the swings and A-1 performs the burpees. Once these reps are finished this completes 1 round. WOD is scored by the amount of time it takes both team members to complete 4 rounds. Each team member must be willing to use the same weight for the swings. This does not mean go lite!
In this first video we are proud to introduce a very special guest who visited us last week. Carole was able sneak a couple of videos of Josephine at play. Pictured in this first video from left to right is Myra, Josephine and Kelli. The second video consists of some brief outtakes of Josephine at play. ****Legal notice**** All models in these videos are 18 or older and we are not responsible for any cross dressers who's feelings get hurt from this.
Team Training Day 1
"Barbara On Burpees"
5 Rounds for time:
20 pull-ups
30 Push-ups
40 Sit-ups
50 Squats
60 Burpees
In teams of 3 complete all the reps of each exercise before moving to the next.
As a warm-up to the beginning of bring a friend starting Monday and running for two weeks, here's a TEAM WOD that should prove to suck!!!....or maybe be fun. You judge.
WOD
"Opposing Ladders"
Teams of (2)
1-10 / 10-1
Push Press (115/75)
400M Run
Ring Push Up
400M Run
OHS (95/55)
400M Run
SDHP (95/55)
400M Run
The progression is as follows: One team member starts with (1) PP, the second member starts with (10) PP. The second set, member one does (2) reps and member two does (9) reps etc. Once the round is complete, both members run 400M and can not begin work until both are back. The second round, member one starts with (10) RPU's and member two starts with (1). Continue switching until evolution is complete.
There was a unanumous vote that Carole pay the 50 burpee penalty for not having the new sign-in sheet printed. Here's the proof and her goal was to get under 2 minutes.
This Sunday September 27, 2009 there is a Memory Walk taking place at Saint Mary's College at 1:30 p.m. Our own Darren DeWitt has put together a team to help raise money for this event. With this disease running ramped in our country and can be traced back to an unhealthy life style, it was easy to agree to help Darren promote this walk. Here is a snippet of the email he sent to me.
"Today an estimated 5.3 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's. In addition, 78 million baby boomers are approaching the age of greatest risk for developing this fatal disease. Now is the time to ACT to end this epidemic!
This year, to support those affected by Alzheimer's, I'm participating in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk to raise funds and awareness to fight this disease.
The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research, and funds I raise will go directly toward supporting their efforts.
I know I can make a difference with your support! Will you consider making a donation? It's easy to give online by following the link below.
Thank you in advance for your time and generosity - together, we can help end Alzheimer's!
