I started working out at Michiana Adventure BootCamp with Jim in July of 2007 with the intention of doing a four week bootcamp three times a week and calling it a good day! BOY WAS I WRONG….

Starting this Friday we are gonna introduce "Jersey Fridays". Each Friday come in sportin' your favorite team's colors. Be proud of that "Chemically Enhanced" athlete's jersey and wear it as you get your butt handed to you in the WOD.
Speaking of which, for those who are considering taking steroids or even wasting money on any body supplement, this movie is a must see. I rented it over the weekend from Family Video and it opened my eyes to an industry I thought I already knew. Here's a trailer to wet your appetite.

Sticks and Stones May Break My Bones, But Guys In Kilts Freak Me Out!!!!

This is our very own Joe McPhie competing in the Highland Games in Fort Wayne this last Saturday. There is a lot that can be said about guys wearing Kilts throwing what are called "stones" around a field. I have a new appreciation for the development of strength, coordination, agility and accuracy. These skills are beneficial to more than just a CrossFit workout and was obvious during this competition. It was a real treat to witness the skill involved with throwing a 100+ pound caber. For those of you unfamiliar with the caber, it's basically a lite pole. Joe plans on competing in August at the St Joe County 4-H fairgrounds so we will have a chance to see him in action. I'll post more as we get closer to the competition.
Make sure when you see Lauren around the gym that you congratulate her. She passed her certification last week and is now a Certified Trainer. You will see her smiling face barking out orders around the gym during boot camp from now on. And don't try arguing reps with her, she will be taking her bar examination soon and arguing with an attorney is pointless!!
